Join us to celebrate the weird and spooky parts of Japanese culture this Halloween! The reservation fee includes a themed alcoholic welcome drink (non-alcoholic available on request at the time of booking!) and sweet treats.

What is Yokai?

Yokai refers to a class of supernatural spirits, monsters and phenomena in Japanese folklore. In Japan, Yokai are held responsible for uncanny, strange, or inexplicable events.

How long is the event?

• Each booking allocates you a table for 2 hours for your booking group.

• If there is nobody booked in after you, you'll be able to stay as long as you like.

• Reservation cards will be present on the tables to let you know when our next booking is expected. Please make sure you're aware of the time so that we can make sure everyone has a timely and fun experience.

• Our last booking slot of the night will allow you to keep the table for the rest of the night. Please be aware that last orders are at 11pm due to licensing restrictions.

• If you want to stay longer, please book two consecutive experience slots so that we can allocate your booking time for longer. You will receive another welcome drink at the start of your second booking, as well as a top-up of sweet treats.

Where will I be seated?

Our seating types vary from bar seating, booth and table. We will allocate your seating depending on your group size. Bar seating and table seating is communal. For example, if you're a party of 2 you might be seated at the bar, or next to another party of 2 on one of our tables. Please understand this before booking - we are a very small venue. We have two corner booths for larger bookings, so if you're coming with friends please book under one booking so we can make sure that you're all seated together.

Can I come in fancy dress?

Yokai-themed fancy dress is strongly encouraged. Prizes will be awarded for best dressed. Although you are welcome to come in any genre of fancy dress, the event is Yokai-themed, with prizes for the best yokai-themed costumes only.

Can I bring my child?

Our bar is strictly 18+ after 6:30pm. Children are welcome to visit in the daytime, but this event is for adults only.

Can I bring my dog?

Friendly dogs are always welcome; however, this event is expected to be busy. Please consider this before deciding whether or not this event will be suitable for your four-legged friend.

I have allergies or accessibility needs; can you accommodate?

Our venue is small and on only one level, making it generally accessible for people in wheelchairs. Please get in contact beforehand and let us know your requirements so that we can prepare in advance, particularly for busier events like this.

How does this event compare to a regular Saturday night?

This event will include a selection of special themed drinks, a themed welcome drink on arrival, sweet treats and spooky-themed decor. Our regular Saturdays have a normal menu, no welcome drinks, themed decor or sweet treats. We hope you enjoy celebrating Halloween with us this year!
